Angus is based in Nairobi and, as Deputy Director for malaria control, oversees the implementation of PSI's malaria portfolio. Additionally, he is responsible for the provision of technical support to PSI programs to scale up effective malaria diagnosis and case management, especially at community level. Angus has over 11 years of malaria control experience including emergency response in Liberia, management of USAID/PMI in Angola and, most recently, as a regional malaria advisor for UNICEF. Angus holds a Masters degree in parasitology and a PhD in malaria entomology, both from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
