Dr. Angus Spiers
Malaria and Child Survival Department
Angus Spiers is the Deputy Director of the Malaria and Child Survival Department and oversees the implementation of PSI's malaria portfolio. He is also responsible for the provision of technical support to PSI programs to scale up effective malaria diagnosis and case management, especially at the community level. Angus has over 13 years of malaria control experience including emergency response in Liberia, management of USAID/PMI in Angola and, most recently, as a regional malaria advisor for UNICEF. Angus holds a Masters degree in Parasitology and a PhD in Malaria Entomology, both from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
