Bram Piot is a specialist in the area of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), mapping, data management and database design, in particular for applications in public health and development. Born in Antwerp, Belgium, Bram received his MSc in Human Geography from the University of Geneva and was previously employed as a Technical Officer with the World Health Organization's Public Health Mapping Team in the Department of Communicable Disease Surveillance and Response. He has served as a consultant for the United Nations Population Fund, Roll Back Malaria and Management Sciences for Health. Bram has traveled to over 30 countries for his work and is fluent in French, English, Dutch and conversant in German.
