PSI focuses on the needs of the child through integrated pneumonia, diarrhea and malaria case management.

In 2010, the deaths of nearly 9 million children were attributed to these diseases. We work with local governments to implement integrated child survival programs delivered through the channels that most effectively meet the needs of the caregiver. Providing quality case management at the community level improves access to care and saves lives.

My name is Mahmud Johnson. I am 19 years old. I am Liberian and currently a second-year student at Dartmouth College in the U.S. My life’s philosophy is Ubuntu, a South African philosophy that includes human virtues like honesty, compassion, integrity and humanity. I strongly believe that my existence and humanity are communal; I’m happiest when people around me are happy. Subconscious at times, my work thus far centers on youth development and empowerment.
