Desmond Chavasse

Vice President, Malaria Control & Child Survival

Dr. Chavasse is head of the Malaria Control and Child Survival Departments. He has a PhD from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (University of Liverpool) and was a Lecturer in Medical Entomology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine between 1991 and 1998. He has over 20 years experience in the control of vector borne diseases with principal focus on malaria, including the analysis of ITN delivery models in the field. He has published numerous papers on mosquito control and written/edited two books on vector control. Chavasse is based in Nairobi, Kenya.
