Eniko Akom

Eniko provides guidance in designing and implementing research studies for monitoring and evaluation of PSI interventions and collaborates on the development of innovative prevention strategies. Eniko is a physician and public health researcher with experience in infectious diseases prevention and surveillance, reproductive health, and the strengthening of health systems. Prior to joining PSI, Eniko worked in global health development in West Africa and Haiti, focusing on HIV prevention in most-at-risk populations and epidemiological surveillance. She also has experience working as a general practitioner and as a family planning physician in low-resource settings, as well as in cervical cancer prevention. Eniko was previously the Research Advisor for HIV/TB, based in Washington, DC.
