Kim Schwarz has spent the last two years as Vice President and CFO of the American Lung Association. Prior to that she was for eight years Vice President for Finance and Shared Administrative Services at the American Red Cross, an organization of $6 billion in annual revenues with 35,000 employees. At the Red Cross Kim led the successful implementation of a new financial management system as well as a shared services center that provided support to 37 separate blood regions and the ARC's headquarters. For ten years before her Red Cross service, Kim was Assistant Vice President at Virginia-based Inova Health Systems, a multi-billion dollar regional healthcare system. In previous incarnations Kim was an internal auditor and accounting manager at Gannett Publications (USA Today), a health care consultant with Ernst & Young, and chief accountant at a hospital in Norwich NY. She began her professional career as an accountant in Norwich.
