Lung Vu comes to PSI from the Population Council, where he was a Bixby Research Fellow conducting HIV operations research and surveillance surveys among most-at-risk populations in Sub-Saharan Africa. He completed his MPH (2006) and PhD (2009) from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, where he focused his study on health impacts of Hurricane Katrina on Vietnamese immigrants living in New Orleans. He obtained his MD from Hanoi Medical School (2001) and later worked as a harm reduction specialist for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and on reproductive health for the World Population Foundation. Lung has published a number of articles in peer-reviewed journals, including AIDS & Behavior, AIDS Education & Prevention, AIDS Care, Inter J of Sexual Health, and J of Immigrant & Minority Health.
