  • Year: 2013
  • Author: A. Shah, J. Thathachari, R. Agarwal, et al.
  • Source: Monitor Inclusive Markets

This white paper was prepared by Monitor Inclusive Markets on behalf of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The perspectives in this white paper are based on publicly available information created as part of the “Supporting Sustainable Sanitation Improvements” (3SI) project in Bihar, supplemented by further research on sub-INR 10,000 (USD 200) sanitation options and the roles of microfinance institutions (MFIs) and key support organizations. Although the focus of the white paper is on the project in Bihar, it can be applicable to other sanitation programs in developing countries.
