In Her Own Words: Faridah

  • Year: 2014

Meet Faridah, a mother of five, who moves from village to village in Uganda, tilling soil to make daily ends meet. In Uganda, women have an average of 6.3 children during their lifetime, and Faridah was one of the 41 percent of women in Uganda who have an unmet need for family planning. Watch the video to see how PACE, PSI’s affiliate in Uganda, provided Faridah with a long-acting and reversible contraceptive method that helps her worry less and focus on giving a better future for her five children.
