Emergency Relief

In collaboration with Procter & Gamble, who provide us the product at no profit, PSI Dominican Republic is the only organization that currently offers PUR product and support materials in Spanish, and we are able to ship both within a matter of days anywhere in Latin America or the Caribbean. In addition to providing PUR, PSI Dominican Republic is prepared to respond with supporting educational materials and with training emergency response groups regarding safe water.

PUR has been used around the globe for emergency relief, including for hurricane relief in Haiti, tsunami relief in Sri Lanka, Maldives and Indonesia, flood relief in Bangladesh, Phillipines, and Kenya, and earthquake relief in Pakistan and Indonesia.

Community Projects

Transforming contaminated, turbid water into clean drinking water in a matter of minutes, PUR is an effective product for communities with limited access to clean or safe water in general.

PSI/DR is prepared to respond by providing educational materials to support PUR programs in schools, clinics, and communities, as well as to communicate key health and hygiene messages about the importance of safe water and hygiene. When possible, PSI can also provide training emergency response groups (depending on location).
