Abstract: PSI/U socially markets Pilplan (oral contraceptive pills) and Injectaplan (injectable contraceptives) as the major components of its family planning program. In order to monitor and evaluate the impact of family planning campaign activities designed to increase the use of these modern contraceptives, a family planning tracking survey with women 18-49 was planned and conducted in 2004-2005. This study aims to answer fundamental questions relating to monitoring of behavior change, segmentation of the target audience, and evaluation of the effects of exposure.
