Sohail Agha

After seven years at Tulane University’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and a brief stint at Abt Associates, Sohail is back at PSI. While at Tulane, Sohail was the Principal Investigator on the Private Sector Partnerships Project, a global reproductive health project that is committed to increasing the use of private sector reproductive health services in developing countries. Sohail’s career has been spent identifying the determinants of health services utilization and the impact of social marketing interventions on producing changes in behavior. He has evaluated the impact of commercial sector interventions such as franchising and micro finance on the perceived quality of care received by clients. Sohail has published at least 15 articles in peer-reviewed journals and scores of working papers. During his first tour of duty, Sohail worked at PSI between 1995 and 2001, with posts in Zambia and Washington D.C.
