As deputy director, Maxine helps to oversee the Support for International Family Planning Organizations (SIFPO) Project at PSI.
Maxine has more than 17 years of experience in reproductive health, family planning and international development. She presently serves as technical lead for PSI’s efforts in long-acting reversible contraceptives, including the postpartum IUD.
She has worked at PSI since 1998, and previously served as a technical advisor for Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMTCT) of HIV in Uganda, and as acting director of U.S. programs focusing on family planning programs in Washington, D.C. Maxine also served as senior technical advisor for reproductive heath, when she designed and implemented family planning programs in PSI country programs around the world, with a focus on service quality assurance.
Her past experiences include the design and implementation of reproductive health interventions and behavior change campaigns, building public-private partnerships and launching and marketing new FP products and services.
Maxine holds a master’s in public administration. She also speaks French.
