As director of procurement, Paul heads PSI’s Procurement & Logistics’ Department, which he joined in January 2013. There he is responsible for PSI global procurement and logistics standards and policies, and the strategic development and future direction of PSI procurement activities.
Prior to joining PSI, Paul helped set up the procurement team for the USAID | DELIVER Project where he worked for almost 6 years on malaria and reproductive health commodities and was deputy director of Procurement for that project. He has also worked on projects funded by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB & Malaria, DFID and other multi-lateral and bi-lateral donors.
Paul has extensive and wide-ranging procurement and supply chain expertise, from major port rehabilitation projects to essential medicines to post conflict rehabilitation of medical facilities. He worked for Crown Agents for over 30 years in a variety of roles, all in the fields of supply chain management, procurement, logistics, project management and export trade finance. His work at Crown Agents spanned many countries including Nigeria, Singapore, South Africa and the Balkans. His last posting was in Tanzania as country representative, for four years.
Paul is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
