Through his public health efforts, he worked to improve the lives of others. Today, he is the Director of the Children&#8217;s Safe Drinking Water Program at Procter &#038; Gamble, is a Senior Fellow in the Sustainability organization, and leads P&#038;G&#8217;s efforts to provide clean drinking water in the developing world. His blog follows his travels throughout the world.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s been 18 months since my last visit to South Sudan.  This is my third trip in about 4 years and I\u2019m amazed at the amount of change.  There are many more paved roads now and more buildings.  One of the roundabouts now has a great big fountain full of spouting water.  But, alas, the water is dirty brown like most people\u2019s drinking water in South Sudan.<\/p>\n<p> My last visit was the kick-off of the program to provide PUR in South Sudan.  PSI is our distribution partner here and they\u2019ve provided more than 15 million liters of clean water using the PUR packets.  PSI works with a number of partners and also sells PUR through retail shops.  They work through a network of about 700 shops supplied by 14 wholesalers.
