{"id":6770,"date":"2015-08-13T18:07:22","date_gmt":"2015-08-13T18:07:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/psi2030.wpengine.com\/?p=6770"},"modified":"2018-05-22T22:22:42","modified_gmt":"2018-05-22T22:22:42","slug":"cii-and-eli-lilly-release-white-paper-on-diabetes-care","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.psi.org\/fr\/news\/cii-and-eli-lilly-release-white-paper-on-diabetes-care\/","title":{"rendered":"CII and Eli Lilly release white paper on diabetes care"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><i>The whitepaper, \u2018Synergizing Efforts in Diabetes Care at the Tertiary Level\u2019 was drafted with support from Population Services International (PSI).<\/i><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\">Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in collaboration with Eli Lilly and Company, released a national whitepaper on \u201cSynergizing Efforts in Diabetes Care at the Tertiary Level\u201d at the third edition of the National NCD Summit. Dr Jagdish Prasad, Director General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India was present to release the white paper. NCD Summit 2015 aimed at creating a national level platform to strengthen public health strategies for comprehensive diabetes management specifically at tertiary level.<\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\">Speaking on the occasion, Dr Prasad highlighted the fact that India is at risk of becoming the diabetes capital of the world by 2025.\u201cRapid globalisation and lack of precautionary measures is the leading cause of diabetes in the country. Education and preventive screening would be key to avoid the burden of diabetes\u201d, said Dr Prasad.
