But in recent years, Canada\u2019s role and voice were diminished, particularly in areas of reproductive health and rights.\u00a0 The reemergence of activist Canada under Prime Minister Trudeau is very welcome.<\/p>\n<p>When the PM charted Canada\u2019s new course in his instruction to Development and Francophonie Minister Marie-Claude Bibeau, he insisted on evidence in decision-making, specifically on reproductive rights and maternal health issues.
