Dr. Angela\u00a0Gichaga\u00a0<\/span><\/b>is a public<\/span>\u00a0et\u00a0<\/span>social sector enthusiast with experience working across civil service, consulting, and NGOs and academia<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

She is an executive coach, human capital and leadership development advisor<\/span>\u00a0with regional and global expertise<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0as well as an exceptional track record of optimizing performance<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

She now serves developing country\u00a0<\/span>Ministries of Health and Ministries of Finance<\/span>\u00a0globally, in building resilient and sustainably financed\u00a0<\/span>primary and community\u00a0<\/span>health systems as\u00a0<\/span>CEO of the Financing Alliance for Health<\/span><\/b>.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Angela completed her undergraduate degree in Medicine,\u00a0Masters in Health Economics\u00a0and Policy and Fellowship in Public Sector Management and has served as a\u00a0<\/span>frontline clinician, health administrator, policy maker, academic and consultant<\/span><\/b>.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Angela served\u00a0<\/span>the MOH Kenya as a District Medical Officer of Health\u00a0<\/span><\/b>(DMOH) and a hospital in charge (MEDSUP) in both Meru and\u00a0Garbatulla, leading ~150 multi-disciplinary team members through coordinating strategic planning, resource mobilization,\u00a0<\/span>service delivery,\u00a0<\/span>recruitment, monitoring and capacity building<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

She then joined the\u00a0<\/span>MOH HQ,\u00a0<\/span><\/b>where she supported health financing, co-developed national strategies and prepared reports on the country\u2019s health achievements<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Angela was humbled to receive the\u00a0<\/span>Australian Leadership Awards for Africa\u00a0<\/span><\/b>(2012) and the\u00a0<\/span>President Obama\u2019s Mandela Washington Fellowship<\/span><\/b>\u00a0(2014) in recognition of her exemplary leadership within the civil service and operational track record of excellence in achieving results<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>She was named one of\u00a0<\/span>Fortune’s Worlds Greatest Leaders<\/span><\/b><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>in 2018<\/span>\u00a0and an\u00a0<\/span>Archbishop Tutu Leadership fellow\u00a0<\/span><\/b>en<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>2019<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

From civil service, she then joined<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>McKinsey & Company\u2019s Africa Delivery Hub\u00a0<\/span><\/b>(ADH) working on socio-economic and development issues in Africa\u00a0<\/span>before transitioning into her role at the Financing Alliance for Health<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
