S'appuyant sur le succ\u00e8s et les enseignements tir\u00e9s de son travail sur l'autodiagnostic du VIH, l'ISP applique activement cette approche pour mieux int\u00e9grer l'autosoin, de mani\u00e8re plus g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, dans le syst\u00e8me de sant\u00e9, en commen\u00e7ant par l'h\u00e9patite C et le COVID-19. L'autodiagnostic s'est r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 \u00eatre un outil puissant pour am\u00e9liorer l'acc\u00e8s \u00e0 des services de sant\u00e9 int\u00e9gr\u00e9s, diff\u00e9renci\u00e9s et d\u00e9centralis\u00e9s, en acc\u00e9l\u00e9rant la pr\u00e9vention, les soins et le traitement de diverses maladies, tout en augmentant la r\u00e9silience du syst\u00e8me de sant\u00e9 face au COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Voici comment nous y sommes parvenus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il y a sept ans, le paysage de l'autodiagnostic du VIH manquait de lignes directrices mondiales, et seuls les \u00c9tats-Unis, le Royaume-Uni et la France avaient mis en place des politiques autorisant l'autodiagnostic du VIH. Les pays \u00e0 forte charge de morbidit\u00e9 dans les pays \u00e0 revenu faible et moyen (PRFM) ne disposaient pas de donn\u00e9es probantes ni de lignes directrices pour l'autotest de d\u00e9pistage du VIH, malgr\u00e9 des lacunes importantes dans le diagnostic du VIH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, through the groundbreaking research from the Unitaid-funded HIV Self-Testing Africa (STAR) initiative led by PSI, we demonstrated that HIVST is not only safe and acceptable but also cost-effective for reaching populations at high risk with limited access to conventional HIV testing. This research played a pivotal role in informing the normative guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO) and shaping policies at the country level. As a result, more than 108 countries globally now have reported HIVST policies, with an increasing number of countries implementing and scaling up HIVST to complement and  partially replace conventional testing services. This became especially significant as nations tried to sustain HIV services amidst the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En s'appuyant sur son expertise, le PSI m\u00e8ne des recherches pour identifier les zones et les populations sp\u00e9cifiques o\u00f9 l'adoption de l'autodiagnostic de l'h\u00e9patite C et du COVID-19 pourrait am\u00e9liorer de mani\u00e8re significative l'acceptation et la couverture des tests. Cette recherche sert de base \u00e0 l'\u00e9laboration de strat\u00e9gies et d'interventions cibl\u00e9es visant \u00e0 \u00e9largir l'acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l'autodiagnostic, \u00e0 garantir que les individus disposent d'options pratiques et opportunes pour le d\u00e9pistage de ces maladies et qu'ils soient mis en relation avec des services de soins, de traitement et de pr\u00e9vention par le biais d'approches diff\u00e9renci\u00e9es de test et de traitement.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
