The recent declaration of Mpox as a public health emergency highlights the urgent need for a coordinated, global response. At PSI, we are prepared to act by collaborating closely with local authorities, healthcare providers, and international partners to address this evolving crisis effectively. Our teams are ready to be deployed in the DRC, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, and Burundi, poised to implement a comprehensive approach that focuses not only on immediate outbreak response but also on long-term health improvements.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    PSI supports the development of national health security strategies and expands the capacity of local Public Health Emergency Operations Centers (PHEOCs). These efforts ensure a well-coordinated response to public health emergencies.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n

    By training healthcare providers in effective case management and contact tracing, we ensure that those affected by Mpox receive the care they need and that potential new cases are quickly identified and managed.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Diagnostics:<\/strong>\u00a0
    We support the development, introduction, and scaling up of new diagnostic tools, including self-testing. Our experience with the introduction of C19 antigen rapid diagnostic tests showcases our commitment to enhancing diagnostic capabilities for both providers and individuals.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Vaccine Distribution:<\/strong>\u00a0
    PSI utilizes its extensive healthcare networks to ensure efficient vaccine delivery, even in the most remote areas. By incorporating innovative methods like drone technology, we can overcome logistical challenges and reach underserved populations.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
