Costs of plastic or fiberglass tanks are generally too expensive for the local population to afford. Ferrocement is a system of reinforced mortar applied over a layer of metal mesh that produces a light thin wall but a very strong structure. Ferrocement provides an option that is less costly and stronger than concrete block or brick construction.
