She is an elected member of the American Law Institute as well as an elected Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and the Hastings Center (the organization central to the founding of bioethics). She is the host of <i>On\u00a0<\/i><i>Le<\/i><i>\u00a0Issues With Michele Goodwin,\u00a0<\/i>a\u00a0<i>Ms.\u00a0<\/i>Magazine podcast.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Trained in sociology, anthropology and law, Dr. Goodwin has conducted field research in Asia, Africa, Europe and North America. She has advised or given testimony before state, federal and international policymakers, judges, business executives and civil society leaders based on her research. A prolific author, her publications include six books and over 100 articles, essays and commentaries, which have been featured in print, radio and television news media domestically and internationally.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She has served in numerous leadership impact positions, including being the first woman elected Secretary General of the International Academy of Law &amp; Mental Health.
