Dr. Jotham Musinguzi is currently the Director General of Uganda\u2019s National Population Council (NPC), Ministry of Finance.<\/p>\n
Dr. Musinguzi is a Public Health Physician. He has taught Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Makerere University Medical School, Kampala. He has special interests in Population and Development, Reproductive Health, Family Planning and HIV\/AIDS.\u00a0 Dr. Musinguzi has in the past served as the Regional Director of Partners in Population and Development, Africa Regional Office (PPD ARO).<\/p>\n
Dr. Musinguzi is current Chair of the Board of Directors of Uganda\u2019s National Medical Stores (NMS); Board Chair of Commonwealth Medical Trust, London (UK); Board Chair of PACE (Uganda). He serves as a Board Member of Women Deliver (New York) as well as Board Member of Guttmacher Institute.<\/p>\n
Dr. Musinguzi has, in the past, served as Chair of the Board of Directors of PSI Uganda; as a Trustee of the Population Council of New York; as a Board Member of the African Population and Health Research Centre (APHRC) based in Nairobi, Kenya; as Board Chair of the International Council of Management of Population Programmes (ICOMP) based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; as a Board Member of Uganda\u2019s National Planning Authority (NPA) and as President of Uganda Medical Association.<\/p>\n
Dr. Musinguzi is a recipient of the 2013 United Nations Population Award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the implementation of the ICPD Programme of Action.
