Mallam Ahmed Ciroma is a cattle herder with two wives living in Mayo-Nula. This is a remote settlement in Maiha local government area in Adamawa State that borders Cameroun. The major trade in the community is cattle herding and peasant farming. This community lacks basic infrastructure and has no tarred roads or potable water.<\/p>\n
In 2013, the settlement was attacked by insurgents and is often under threat or attack due to the insurgency in the northeast, Nigeria. In Mallam Ciroma\u2019s house, as in other households domiciled in that community, Long Lasting Insecticidal Nets (LLIN) usage is very high and encouraged by local stakeholders including religious leaders. Mallam Ciroma said he, like many others in his community has had the privilege to benefit from the Society for Family Health\u2019s (SFH) malaria social mobilisation.<\/p>\n
