The Kakamega government has asked the National Malaria Control Unit to provide more drugs to fight an outbreak.<\/p>\n

Health executive Peninna Mukabane yesterday said antimalarial medicine in rural health facilities is insufficient.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have launched a Sh2.5 million campaign to fight malaria and adequate medicine is critical for its success,\u201d she said in her office.<\/p>\n

Twelve children aged between six months and six years died at the County General Hospital 10 days ago.<\/p>\n

Thirty seven children have died of malaria at the hospital in the last two months.<\/p>\n
