Further, two days after 50 founding members signed the <a class=\"c2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.devex.com\/news\/aiib-nears-completion-but-china-s-global-leader-status-remains-in-question-86449?utm_source=website&amp;utm_medium=text&amp;utm_campaign=linking_strategy\">articles of agreement<\/a>\u00a0of the China-led <a class=\"c2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.devex.com\/news\/in-adb-s-image-china-led-aiib-to-test-infrastructure-alternative-in-asia-84280?utm_source=website&amp;utm_medium=text&amp;utm_campaign=linking_strategy\">Asian Infrastructure and Investment Bank<\/a>, Beijing ratified an agreement to launch BRICS\u2019 own multilateral financial institution, the <a class=\"c2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.devex.com\/news\/building-a-new-development-bank-brick-by-brics-83927?utm_source=website&amp;utm_medium=text&amp;utm_campaign=linking_strategy\">New Development Bank<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In the short to midterm, development contractors and consulting firms that are doing business in Asia and Africa may increasingly be bidding for projects funded by the Chinese government and multilateral banks where Beijing is a major stakeholder.
