Reducing Hypertension in Kenya<\/h3>\n
 <\/div>\n

In 2015, AstraZeneca\u2019s Healthy Heart Africa (HHA) initiative committed to treating 10 million people for hypertension in Africa by 2025. In collaboration with PS Kenya* and national partners, HHA is improving the lives of people at risk of hypertension through increased awareness and education of risk factors, enhanced training and treatment guidelines for providers, and affordable medications by leveraging the health services offered through PS Kenya\u2019s Tunza social franchise clinics.<\/p>\n

In 2016, the Federal Ministry of Health in Ethiopia and AstraZeneca began a partnership with PSI\/Ethiopia to run the HHA program through 48 sites of the public health systems in Ethiopia. Through this initiative alone, we aim to screen 1 million people for hypertension.<\/p>\n
