Para manter as crian\u00e7as seguras, o governo fez da luta contra a mal\u00e1ria uma prioridade, criando uma Estrat\u00e9gia Nacional de Combate \u00e0 Mal\u00e1ria e investindo em esfor\u00e7os de preven\u00e7\u00e3o, tratamento e elimina\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Desde 2022, o Projeto Unitaid Plus tem apoiado os Camar\u00f5es com a implementa\u00e7\u00e3o da quimiopreven\u00e7\u00e3o da mal\u00e1ria perene (PMC) em seis distritos de sa\u00fade na regi\u00e3o Central, incluindo Bafia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As interven\u00e7\u00f5es PMC foram concebidas para serem realizadas atrav\u00e9s da plataforma do Programa Essencial de Imuniza\u00e7\u00e3o (PAI) e juntamente com as vacinas infantis de rotina, as consultas de vitamina A e outros controlos regulares. Esta abordagem utiliza os servi\u00e7os de sa\u00fade existentes no primeiro e segundo anos de vida para proteger as crian\u00e7as contra a mal\u00e1ria e outras doen\u00e7as infantis potencialmente fatais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A introdu\u00e7\u00e3o bem sucedida nos Camar\u00f5es do PMC e da vacina contra a mal\u00e1ria no sistema de sa\u00fade de rotina em \u00e1reas apoiadas pelo Projeto Unitaid Plus mostra como se pode dar prioridade \u00e0 preven\u00e7\u00e3o.
