In Thailand, PSI’s Sisters program works to improve the reach of HIV services to transgender women. Sisters’ outreach staff and volunteers visit the places where transgender people gather in Pattaya, such as local bars, clubs, streets, parks, and sometimes even their homes to promote HIV testing services and distribute condoms, lubricant, and information about HIV and STIs, including information about care and support to assist HIV-positive people.  This case study, which was developed as part of USAID’s AIDSTAR-One Case Studies Series, presents evidence that exposure to the program is associated with increased HIV testing among transgender women.
