From 2004-2013, PSI and international and local partners implemented a USAID-funded HIV program in China that used behavior change communications to improve access to prevention, care, and treatment for most-at-risk populations, including people who inject drugs (PWID), men who have sex with men (MSM), female sex workers (FSW), and people living with HIV (PLHIV).

A presentation at the American Public Health Association Annual Meeting in October 2015 featured results from a study that looked at the factors influencing sexual behaviors and HIV-related behavioral and health outcomes among MSM.
