The study conducted a retrospective analysis of 42,605 records of clients 2 years and older, seen between October 2014 and September 2015, through mobile HTC, home-based and static sites in Lesotho. Almost 74.2% with CD4 testing completed referral cycle compared to only 46% amongst those without CD4 testing (p<0.001). About 78.2% of those with less than 500 CD4 count completed referrals compared to 66.8% among those with higher CD4 count, 500 and above (p<0.001). Overall, these findings support deployment of more PIMA machines particularly at mobile and stand-alone HIV testing services where there are more HIV positives.
