Susana (Susy) Barrios de Fernández has 27 years of experience working on development projects in Central America, including seven years working with the USAID/G-CAP HIV/AIDS and maternal and child health programs. In 1997, Ms. Barrios began her work at PASMO in finance and administration, and has a proven record in designing and implementing effective and efficient regional programs in Central America. Her responsibilities included budget planning and oversight, financial analysis and reporting, regional administrative and finance policies, donor compliance, internal and external audits,  procurement, management information systems, human resources, logistics and operations.  In 2012, Ms. Barrios became the Regional Executive Director for PASMO and current oversees its strategic direction, ensuring the efficient and effective implementation of programmatic and commercial activities, as well as the oversight of country directors and senior leadership in the PASMO Regional Office.

A native of Guatemala, Ms. Barrios has a degree in business administration from Universidad Rafael Landívar.
