Senior Clinical Advisor for Africa

PSI

Dr. Milly Nanyombi Kaggwa is the Senior Clinical Advisor for Africa. She has over 15 years of experience managing and implementing Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and Family Planning programs. She plays a huge role in improving the lives of women and their families by ensuring access to quality contraceptive and safe abortion products and services. She is responsible for developing and building the capacity of country staff to lead robust quality assurance systems and that support a service delivery portfolio that spans over 30 countries and focuses not only on sexual and reproductive health, but also safe legal abortion, post-abortion care and cervical cancer work. With over 10 years of experience in clinical Quality Assurance (QA) and she has provided technical assistance throughout East and Southern Africa and some parts of Asia, including Ethiopia, Malawi, Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, Somaliland, Uganda, Zambia, Laos and Cambodia.

Previously she worked as the Programs Director at PSI Uganda and as the Quality Assurance Regional Lead for East Africa where she provided leadership oversight and technical assistance to all PSI Uganda programs and partner organizations helping PSI Uganda to achieve remarkable success in building public and private sector capacity in long-acting reversible contraception, safe legal abortion and provision of post-abortion care services.
