PSI Global

Shawn Malone leads a portfolio of projects in South Africa aimed at reaching more men with HIV prevention, testing, and treatment by applying socio-behavioural research and human-centred design to better understand and address individual, social and structural barriers to services.

Shawn was previously Regional Director-Southern Africa for FHI 360, with responsibility for twenty projects across eight countries, primarily in the area of HIV but also including TB, maternal & child health, nutrition, education and economic strengthening. He also worked with Pact in South Africa as Program Director for a USAID-funded grants management and capacity development project, in partnership with more than 60 NGO and CBO PEPFAR implementing partners, and in Thailand as Deputy Chief of Party on a key populations project.

He holds a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown’s Walsh School of Foreign Service.
