Maureen Erasmus has served as an advisor in the Financial Services sector for more than 30 years across Europe, Asia, Middle East and Africa as well as North America. Across these markets, she has focused on investment banking, wealth management and private equity. Maureen has extensive functional expertise in corporate strategy, international growth strategies, cross border expansion, organizational effectiveness, risk management, shareholder value driven strategies, acquisitions, joint ventures and disposals.
Maureen has held Managing Director roles at 2 US investment banks and served as a partner at Bain & Company, A.T. Kearney and Cooper & Lybrand. In 2017, Maureen transitioned full time into a ‘plural’ role and has taken up a number of non-executive roles on publicly listed and privately held companies. Maureen currently sits on the board of Masawara, a UK publicly listed, Zimbabwean based investment vehicle which holds controlling interests in hotels, insurance companies and retail companies. She also sits on the board of Maitland, a specialist global advisory and fund administration services company, where she chairs the Remuneration Committee. In addition, Maureen sits on the Board of Mizuho International (European arm of a Japanese investment bank) as well as Credit Suisse International where she is Chair of Risk on both boards.
Maureen was born in Zimbabwe but emigrated to the UK in 1989. Over the last decade she has invested and supported a number of philanthropic ventures in Zimbabwe.
