Bill Lane is the Head of Individual Giving at Population Services International (PSI), focusing on securing private sector resources from individuals and family foundations to scale PSI’s work of reimagining how to bring quality healthcare closer to those who need it most. Prior to PSI, Bill served as the Director of Development at FINCA International (FINCA) and its European affiliate, FINCA U.K., overseeing a global fundraising program bridging private sector philanthropy and the impact investment world to support FINCA’s work.
An enthusiast for the ability of philanthropy and partnerships to support solutions addressing global systemic challenges, Bill has spent more than a decade working with leading philanthropists, foundations, and global organisations to deliver impact making a positive contribution to those served through a variety of mission-driven initiatives. These have included senior fundraising roles with Women for Women International, Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and the Red Cross.
Throughout his social impact career, Bill has worked across the U.S. and Europe to mobilize nearly $50 million in support of poverty alleviation, women’s social and economic empowerment, HIV/AIDS, Malaria, and disaster relief. Bill received his B.A. in Journalism from the University of South Carolina.
