PSI

As deputy director of the Women’s Health Project, Mary helps to oversee the project’s activities in 15 countries across Asia, Africa and Latin America. The project focuses on improving access to long-acting reversible contraceptive methods and reducing maternal mortality primarily through social franchising on the supply side, and interpersonal communications on the demand side.

Mary also specializes in changing behaviors of health care providers through marketing and communications drawing on private sector models and her experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing.

She has spent over 10 years managing health projects in HIV/AIDS prevention, child survival and family planning in Asia and Africa, and has lived and worked in Cameroon, Nepal and Cambodia.

Prior to entering the space of public health and international development, Mary worked in direct patient care as a community pharmacist and as a sales manager and training specialist for a large pharmaceutical company.
