ACTwatch lite
Project
Overview
The goal of West and Central Africa ACTwatch Lite is to combat malaria by collecting and using national data on private health sector malaria markets in countries in which malaria is endemic. These insights will enable national malaria programs, regulatory authorities and their partners to:
- Understand the drivers of malaria health system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Make informed national and subnational decisions on tailoring malaria interventions.
- Provide essential, and currently unavailable, market data to support private sector strategies and funding opportunities to address malaria.
In collaboration with WHO and national partners, PSI will design and implement ACTwatch Lite Surveys in Benin, Cameroon and three states in Nigeria, which will gather and analyze malaria surveillance and market data to inform and catalyze malaria outbreak prevention, decision making, and response.
