The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF)


A member of the United Nations Development Group and Executive Committee, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) provides development assistance and humanitarian aid to women and children in the developing world. UNICEF prioritizes funding for the most marginalized children and the most in need of assistance due to natural disasters, humanitarian emergencies, violent conflicts, and economic turbulence. Global health funding areas for UNICEF include HIV/AIDS, immunizations, nutrition, maternal and newborn health, and water, sanitation and hygiene.
