Founded in 2004, the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) is the world’s largest philanthropy that focuses specifically on improving children’s lives. CIFF’s mission is to demonstratively improve the lives of children living in poverty in developing countries. Its main areas of activity are maternal and child health and nutrition; children’s education and welfare; and smart ways to slowdown and stop climate change. Within health, the areas of focus are maternal and newborn survival, prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV/AIDS, and deworming. Within nutrition, areas of focus include the treatment of severe acute malnutrition and the reduction of stunting. CIFF is headquartered in London with offices in Nairobi and New Delhi.
