Dr. Dorothy Balaba has more than 16 years of experience in public health leadership, designing and managing national-level public programs including adolescent-friendly and sexual reproductive and maternal health. Her experience includes designing and managing national family planning programs, adolescent-friendly reproductive health programs and programs addressing maternal health.
Dr. Balaba is a skilled researcher and has co-authored papers in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at several national and international conferences. She is a recipient of the International AIDS Society (IAS) ANRS award 2006. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Makerere University Uganda.
