Learn how PSI and our partners are advancing science and systems to end malaria.
How can evidence and innovation accelerate progress toward ending malaria?
PSI is sharing research and learnings from Benin, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ghana, Madagascar, Mozambique, Zambia, and Zanzibar—showcasing how country-led innovation and stronger data systems are improving malaria prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Together with partners, we’re strengthening the evidence base and translating data into action to build more resilient, equitable malaria programs.

A new way to track antimalarial consumption in Africa: Live Demo of Maisha ACT
SESSION DESCRIPTION
This event will feature a live demonstration of Maisha ACT’s interactive dashboards, showing how to explore the malaria supply chain from raw materials to the finished products reaching patients at the last mile. Attendees will see firsthand how the tool reveals consumption trends across geographies, product choices, pricing, and quality. Maisha ACT opens a critical new window into the private sector, which distributes the majority of antimalarials in many African countries, offering that is often a broader and more timely complement to existing public sector data. This provides a fuller picture needed to guide research, strategy, and impact.
The session will include a panel discussion – “Implications of novel data and research for drug-resistant malaria” – exploring current work, key trends, data gaps, and next steps for developing an effective response to antimalarial resistance in Africa. It will be followed by lightning talks showcasing real-world examples of how organizations are closing the data gap with Maisha ACT, using it for market intelligence, product launches, and insights on demand, pricing, and competition.
