How We Will Strengthen Global Capacity

Build People and Leadership

  • We’ll build a deep bench of external and internal talent across our network, with clear succession plans, financial and purpose-driven incentives, and compelling career paths.
  • We’ll build the PSI global brand to entice top-tier talent to join the organization, and we’ll make it easier for people to integrate into the environment and quickly contribute.
  • We’ll develop our network in three areas:
  • Thought leadership to help achieve UHC through Consumer Powered Healthcare
  • Technical and operational leadership in priority health areas and across evidence, marketing, new business development, communications, finance, procurement, and information technology
  • Insight-driven leadership with deep emotional intelligence to keep us humble, make us better partners, make us think bigger, support better decision-making, and reduce the temptation toward ‘emergency react and response’

Foster Technical and Operational Excellence

  • Our “One PSI” network standards will incentivize us to reach technical and operational excellence, including new financing models for how we deliver global services.
  • We’ll assess our financial program performance as profit and loss, even when we are executing grants. We’ll influence the non-profit and donor community to think differently about value for money.
  • We’ll develop information technology platforms and communication protocols that allow for fast, easy and clear knowledge sharing throughout our network and with others.

Expand Strategic Partnerships

  • We’ll complement our capabilities with partnerships that help us realize Consumer Powered Healthcare, focusing on tech entrepreneurs, manufacturers, private financiers, insurers, and policy setting institutions. We’ll enter into strategic joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions where they advance the goal of Consumer Powered Healthcare.
