The development community has set an ambitious goal to eliminate HIV in our lifetimes: the global 90-90-90 goals.
This means that 90 percent of HIV positive individuals know their status, 90 percent of those who know their status are on antiretroviral therapy medication and 90 percent reach viral load suppression.
The Combination Prevention Program for HIV in Central America, funded by USAID, is one of the ways PSI is contributing to this goal, especially in reaching highly vulnerable and at-risk key populations and increasing their access to HIV testing and counseling services. Through this program, cyber-educators, online patient advocates, community health workers and government officials across Latin America are working in tandem to create environments that will enable people living with HIV to get diagnosed and get healthy.
