The Caya Diaphragm is a self-care, non-hormonal, discreet, and reusable barrier method of voluntary contraception. With funding from USAID through the Expanding Effective Contraceptive Options (EECO) project, WCG Cares and PSI led a pilot introduction of the Caya Diaphragm in Niger. This brief describes the steps taken by the project, lessons learned, and initial outcomes achieved, and aims to guide and advise those interested in introducing Caya or another new contraceptive product into a market.
