Nil Loy is PSI’s General Counsel, responsible for leading the legal team and overseeing PSI’s legal affairs around the world.
Nil has over 21 years of legal experience working with multinational companies and non-profit organizations. She has overseen and handled a broad range of legal matters in over 70 countries across six continents. For the last six years, Nil has been devoted to organizations focused on public health – most recently, as General Counsel for Vital Strategies, Inc. where she led the legal team, and previously as Associate General Counsel at Abt Associates, Inc. where she oversaw its day-to-day legal affairs around the world.
Nil began her career as a commercial litigator specializing in labor and employment at Sidley in New York City and Akin Gump in Washington, D.C. She also served as in-house counsel to a publicly traded internet infrastructure company and a summer clerk to the North Carolina Supreme Court.
Nil holds a J.D. from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science and Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also holds several professional certifications, including in privacy (Certified Information Privacy Professional – US), mediation and project management foundations for international development professionals.
